Dash cams have really sky rocketed in popularity in recent years and with road users in the millions, this is no surprise. There are so many different ways in which you can benefit from using a dash cam.
Not only are you able to record your journeys every day, but more importantly, you are able to make sure that you capture what could be vital evidence in the event of an accident on the road.

In order to save you the hassle of having to do so, we have decided to test and review some of the best small dash cams which are stealthy and high quality. Please read on below to find out more.

The Review
The dash cam that we have chosen to make number 1 on our list of the best small dash cams which are stealthy is this one from Auto-Vox. Auto-Vox is certainly not one of the top brands on the market, so we were really surprised by how impressed we were.
Firstly, we’d like to go over the design of this powerful little dash cam. We were genuinely surprised by how small it actually is. It fits very neatly behind the rear view mirror without causing any obstructions at all and is incredibly discreet.
Despite its small dimensions, this dash cam has been built to be sturdy, that is very clear. The materials used are clearly of a very high quality. Overall, the design is fantastic.
When it comes to installing this dash cam, there are two options; you can either simply mount it onto your windscreen or you can use the hardwire kit. For convenience, we opted to mount the camera.
This was very easy and positioning the camera was really simple too. Operating the camera was no problem at all, we were able to set it up and configure it with the downloadable app within minutes. The app itself was very easy to use and very helpful too.
In terms of recording quality, this camera is exceptional. Not only were we impressed by the daytime quality, but we were very impressed by the night vision on this camera too. Whilst we did have a few issues with reading number plates in the dark, we were mostly very impressed.
The lens angle is perfectly sufficient at 152 degrees; we were able to capture everything that we needed to see. One of the things that we really liked with this cam is that the parking mode is highly effective. If you park on the street at night then this is going to be very beneficial.
Overall, we were so impressed with this dash cam that we have no hesitation in putting it at the top of our list.

The Review
The next on our list of the best small dash cams which are stealthy is this one from HQBKING. This isn’t a brand that we had tried before, so we had nothing to go on to suggest the quality, but we were very impressed with this stealthy little camera.
The design is the real selling point with this dash cam. It is very minimalistic and incredibly compact, without compromising on quality. The materials feel very durable indeed, as reflected by the 381g weight of this model.
Installing this dash cam was very easy. One of the things that we really liked was the magnetic mount. Once this has been installed, it is simply a matter of placing the camera into the mount and removing it when you are finished with it.
The only thing that we didn’t really like with this camera is that it doesn’t come with a memory card. We felt with the addition of this, it would be much better. However, you can buy a MicroSD card separately.
The initial set up of this dash cam is a little long winded, but it is fairly simple. One of the things that we really liked about this cam is that there are only a couple of buttons to control the entire menu which makes things much simpler.
In terms of recording quality, the resolution is fantastic, both in daytime and during the evening. We didn’t have any trouble recording in all light conditions and number plates were clearly visible at all times.
There are a number of modes that you can choose from and this dash cam also benefits from loop recording so you never have to worry about running out of memory. Overall, we were really impressed with this one.

The Review
Last on our list of the best small dash cams which are stealthy is this one from Toguard. We have tested and reviewed numerous Toguard models in the past and always been relatively pleased, so we weren’t too surprised to find that we would want to add this one to our list.
The design of this dash cam is what really sold it to us. It is very neat and compact and does not obstruct the view from the windscreen in the slightest. It fits neatly behind the rear view mirror and it can either be mounted or stuck directly to your windscreen.
The initial setup was very easy indeed. In fact, it only took us around 10-15 minutes to completely setup the dash cam so that it was ready to use. In terms of features, there are plenty of different modes to choose from. As with the other models on our list, this one features loop recording.
In terms of recording quality, the resolution on this dash cam is fantastic. We had no trouble at all seeing everything with total clarity. The nighttime recording could be improved upon, but it is important to remember that this is a lower end camera.
One thing that really surprised us with this one is the quality of the sound recording. The microphone is very sensitive and picks up voices and other noises very well indeed. Overall, we would definitely recommend this camera if you are looking for something a little cheaper.
