Contested record
Car Watch Pro: What We Could And Could Not Verify
Car Watch Pro is not sold through Amazon or a high street retailer. It is sold direct through at least five near identical websites under interchangeable names. Consumer reviews and trust ratings for those sibling sites are severely negative, but they attach to the sibling sites, not to carwatchpro.co.uk itself, which has no reviews on any major platform at all. That is the finding, and it is the reason to be careful.
We do not test cameras. Everything on this page is something somebody else published, with a link to where they said it and the date they said it. The public record on this camera is contested. We could not verify the product because we could not establish who sells it. The specifications differ between the sites selling it. One page claims 1080p and a 140 degree lens; an older version of a sibling page claimed 4K, 360 degrees and GPS. Everything below is attributed to the site or reviewer that published it.
Before you buy
Reviews and trust ratings for the sibling storefronts are severely negative. Ratings for carwatchpro.co.uk itself do not exist. We are reporting exactly that distinction, because it matters.
-
A "Car Watch Pro" listing on an Australian consumer review site scores 1.0 out of 5 from 15 reviews, with no positive reviews at all. We could not establish whether those Australian buyers bought from any of the five storefronts named above, or from a separate Australian seller using the same product name. The reviews are two to three years old.
ProductReview.com.au -
cardashcampro.com, a sibling storefront, is rated 0 out of 100 and flagged "Likely Unsafe". The domain was registered on 8 November 2024.
ScamAdviser -
carwatchpro.co.uk itself is rated "Very Likely Safe" by the same service, which notes it could find no reviews for it on any major review platform. The domain was registered on 6 February 2023.
ScamAdviser -
A Trustpilot page for cardashcampro.com is reported to show a score of 1.4 with 89 percent one star reviews. We could not load Trustpilot to confirm this and are not quoting any review from it.

To be fair about it. None of the negative reviews above were left about carwatchpro.co.uk. They were left about a product of the same name sold through other websites, and one of them is an Australian listing. We are not saying carwatchpro.co.uk is dishonest, and we have no evidence that it is. We are saying that when a product is sold through five interchangeable websites whose specifications contradict each other, and the sites that do have reviews score 1.0 and 0 out of 100, you cannot know who you are buying from or what you will receive. Buy from a retailer with a returns policy you can enforce.
What owners complain about
Instructions so tiny I had to photograph them to read. No chip included.
Three months on and the promised car cam is still missing.
First unit worked for 2 hours. Replacement unit didn’t work at all.
Started by recording 60% of journeys, now down to 10%. Totally unreliable.
The specification, and who is claiming it
A manufacturer stating its own camera is 4K is not the same as somebody checking. Rows marked as a seller claim are the seller talking.
