The Vantrue N2 Pro Dual Dash Cam Review

To start off with, we’re going to do a quick overview of the design. What we liked about the design of this dash cam is that it is quite unique. It is a nice cylinder shape rather than your standard rectangular device. What we liked about this is that it fits nicely on the windscreen without being in the way.

That being said, we did feel that the camera was perhaps a little on the large side although not enough for it to be a problem. Just by taking a quick look at the camera itself, it was immediately clear that it has been made from quality materials. There is nothing about it that feels cheap.

Installing the Vantrue N2 Pro Dual Dash Cam

Installing the Vantrue N2 Pro Dual Dash Cam was no trouble at all. In fact, you are provided with a really nice, sturdy suction mount which allows you to position the camera exactly where you need it without any fuss. The initial configuration process was also relatively easy.

Once we had it all installed and configured, we were ready to get going and really test out the camera. First of all, we’d like to talk about the viewing angle because there were a couple of things that we really liked about this. To start with, the angle outside of the vehicle is plenty wide enough at 170 degrees.

What we really liked, however, is that there is a 140 degree field of view which allows you to record inside of the car as well as outside. This would be especially beneficial for taxi drivers or those who want to document their journeys.

Exceptional Recording Quality in all Conditions

Now, onto the resolution. We were incredibly pleased with this. The rear camera resolution can be a little grainy at times, but the front camera is where this dash cam really shines. We found that it was crystal clear in both the daytime and the evening thanks to the built in night vision.

One extra feature that we really liked with this dash cam is that it has a 24 hour motion detecting parking mode. Any movement outside of your vehicle triggers the recording function. We found this especially beneficial for overnight roadside parking.

As with all dash cams, there are a couple of things that could definitely be improved upon slightly, but for the most part we were very satisfied with the performance of the Vantrue N2 Dual Pro Dash Cam and would certainly recommend it, especially to those who drive for a living.
